Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library group consists of residents who pay yearly dues for the purpose of obtaining funds
to subsidize programs and materials for the library.
They have a slate of officers who work with the Library Director in planning and implementing educational,
cultural and entertaining programs as well as fund-raisers.
They are permitted to schedule the meeting room of the main library on a continuous basis (3rd Tuesday of
each month) for Lunching with Books. They also have permission to sell books on the premises during
autograph parties.
The branch libraries may also have active Friends groups who endeavor to meet the needs of the specific
community. If so, these groups must adhere to the general guidelines as set forth above.
All programs and/or events must be approved by the Library Director.
The Library Board of Trustees has final authority pertaining to any decision.
